How to Upload Your ID and Selfie

Overview

To maintain the highest security standards and comply with US medical regulations, ZipHealth requires identity verification for all patients. This process ensures your sensitive health data remains protected and confirms that prescription treatments are being safely delivered to the correct individual.

Use this article if you want to:

  • Understand why identity verification is required.

  • Learn how to upload your government-issued ID.

  • Follow the specific guidelines for a successful verification selfie.

  • Troubleshoot common upload errors or technical issues.

To help keep your information secure and comply with medical regulations, ZipHealth uses a two-step identity verification process. This involves providing a government-issued photo ID and a current selfie for cross-verification.

Follow the steps below to complete the process quickly and securely.

Step 1: Upload Your Photo ID

First, you will need to provide a clear image of a valid, government-issued ID (such as a Driver’s License or Passport).

  1. Click the secure upload link provided in your verification email or log in to your ZipHealth account.

  2. Click the "Upload Photo" button to browse the files on your computer or phone.

Before you submit, please ensure:

  • Clarity: The photo is bright and clear—not dark or blurry.

  • Visibility: All four corners of the ID are fully visible in the frame.

  • Unobstructed: Nothing is covering any part of the ID text or your photo.

Once the image looks correct, click "Confirm and Continue."

If you were only asked to update your ID, you are all set! If you are a first-time patient or were asked to update your selfie, please proceed to Step 2.

Step 2: Upload Your Selfie

After your ID is uploaded, you will need to provide a current selfie. This helps our clinical team confirm that the person requesting treatment matches the ID provided.

Selfie Guidelines:

  • Face Visibility: Your entire face must be clearly visible.

  • The "Wave" Pose: Ensure your upper torso is in the frame and one arm is raised (as if you are waving hello).

  • Lighting: Use a well-lit area so the photo is not dark or grainy.

Click "Upload Photo" again, select your selfie file, and submit.

Step 3: Confirmation

Once your files are uploaded, the system will process them.

  • Success: If you are automatically redirected back to your consultation or order screen, your upload was successful!

  • Error Messages: If you see an error message after uploading, please do not worry—in most cases, the upload was still received. Our team will contact you if we need a clearer image to complete your order.

Tips for a Successful Upload

  • Clean Your Lens: Quickly wipe your camera lens to prevent blurry photos.

  • Natural Light: Take your photos near a window during the day for the best clarity.

  • Stability: If using a smartphone, prop it against a solid surface to avoid "camera shake."

Why These Steps Matter

Confirming your identity is a critical safety measure. It allows us to protect your sensitive health information and ensures that your treatments are delivered safely and securely to the correct individual.
